A couple of years ago I had a chance to visit one of Mies Van Der Rohe’s masterpieces, the German Pavilion for the 1929 International Expo in Barcelona. We were lucky to be able to visit midweek in the off season so that apart from a school party, we were the only visitors. We were of course prepared to hang on until the school kids moved on and we had the pavilion to ourselves.
I am sorry to say that my camera was stolen shortly after this. However, due to my habit of using small memory cards and changing them often as insurance against failure, I was fortunate still to have these images in my wallet.
